1)      Holiday Promotion:  Ask a local bank if you can put a Train Set around the Christmas tree.  You can have a custom painted car or a small simple sign that reads “ Model Train supplied by XYZ Hobby Shop” along with you address.  Or place a simple business card holder near the train.  This promotion has been done locally here for several years.

2)      Summer Time Promotion:  If you sell R/C cars ask several of your good customers or employees if they would be willing to run their cars in the 4^th of July parade.  You could supply them with XYZ hobby shop T-shirts to be worn during the parade that they could keep for helping you out.  You will need to supply a chase car or truck for pit stops.

3)      Summer Time Promotion:  If you sell Trains try a mobile train layout in your local 4^th of July parade.  A simple dressed up piece of wood laid across the bed of a pickup and somehow anchored.  There is DC to AC converters on the market for power.  You can think of this as a one-time expense that you may use for many years to come.

4)      Anytime Promotion:  Did you know that there are self-stick labels on the market that will fit the Athearn billboards?  You can create your stores own custom billboards to give away with any train set purchase.  Click Here for more details.

5)      Summertime Promotion:  Holding a modeling contest in conjunction with your local city’s homecoming or carnival.
