I have a vendors license, so can I purchase from Cleveland Hobby?

No. We have several other requirements  that need to be met before an account can be opened. The most important one is being a commercially zoned retail store.

Is Cleveland Hobby a small, regional distributor?

Cleveland Hobby is one of the largest pure hobby wholesalers in the country. We currently service accounts nationwide and in Canada.

How will you ship my order?

All orders are shipped via UPS with the exception of Hazmat orders. When shipping flammables we use U.S.P.S. ground, but these items can also be shipped UPS if you are willing to pay the Hazardous Surcharge.

I need an item for a customer, but I do not have enough together to order yet. Can you place the item on hold for me?

We can place an item on hold at any time.  We will hold items for up to two weeks before returning it to stock.

I had an account with Cleveland Hobby, but I have not ordered in a long time. Now that I can order online and wish to start purchasing from you again, is my account still valid?

Any account that has been inactive for a year or more needs to fill out another dealer application and be approved again.

Can you backorder every item that I order?

Yes. While the vast majority of our customers prefer not backordering, we are fully capable of back ordering all out-of-stock items. All you need to do is let us know that you would like all items back ordered so that we will know your preference. Or you may also request back orders on certain orders or individual items. Just specify when ordering. 

What is your policy on shipping backorders?

Generally, we ship back orders when the total cost reaches $50.  You may also request us to hold back orders until they reach a total that you chose.

Does Cleveland Hobby accept credit cards?

Yes. We accept Master Card and Visa. (Please request a credit card application.)

I do not have an account, but you have an item in stock that I desperately need for a customer, Can I just charge it and fill out an application later?

No: however we can hold the item until we receive your completed account application.  A credit application and reference check (with standard hobby references) only takes a matter of days to complete the whole process.

Do your salesmen do order entry?

We get this question a lot.  When you call Cleveland Hobby and talk to a salesman, you are speaking to someone with at least 15 years experience in the hobby industry--not an order entry person without any experience.
